On Feb 20, TJ Living recruited volunteers to prepare and distribute care packages to the homeless population in anticipation of the coldest day of the year.
At 8 am, Vancouver Outreach, as part of TJ Living, delivered 150 care packages to the Southside Community Church. Each package contained a warm touque, gloves or mittens, a scarf, and two pairs of socks.
Since 2017, Vancouver Outreach has been helping the impoverished population with these simple acts of kindness and charity. In addition, the team has collected numerous pounds of food for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank, fundraised for the BC Cancer Foundation and Burnaby Hospital, prepared care packages for low-income families, and more.
These activities and services cannot be possible without the help from the caring and enthusiastic Vancouver Outreach volunteers, who attend each session with a great big smile on their faces, ready to give to the community from the bottom of their hearts.
Join Vancouver Outreach in the biweekly preparation and delivery of sandwiches and food items.
