TJ Living at the Warming Centre
On Feb 25, TJ Living delivered around 200 "Winter Packs" to the Warming Centre in Burnaby. Warming Centres are overnight shelters for vulnerable people provided by the City of Burnaby and Vancouver between November and March.
The team was warmly welcomed by the Burnaby Mayor—Mike Hurley—as well as Burnaby Councillors, who helped to unload the Winter Packs into the Warm Centre.
These Winter Packs will be distributed to the vulnerable population, helping them keep warm during freezing February temperatures. In particular, the Winter Packs contain items such as gloves, mittens, touques, and scarves. Mike Hurley expressed great thanks to TJ Living, as part of Tian-Jin Temple, for gathering and providing these care packages for those in need.
