On August 1, 2022, TJ Drum Formation, the traditional drum team from Tian-Jin Temple, was invited by the Burnaby Museum to perform at the BC Day celebration.

The captivating and energetic drum beats immediately drew the attention of visitors, attracting a crowd on the hot summer day. TJ Drum Formation is a group that performs traditional Taiwanese drumming on large, wood-framed round drums. They practice on a regular basis and have been invited to many local events and shows.

The drum team is split into two smaller formations: adults and youth. The children’s drum team made their debut at the BC Day celebration and received thunderous applause for their hard work and efforts.
