The Burnaby Homeless Taskforce set up 3 cooling centres in different areas for homeless folks to find shelter and rest during high temperatures in the summer. Each centre was equipped with tents, seating, food, drinks, and cooling water pools. The cooling centres served 224, 246, and 115 individuals in their respective locations, protecting them from the scorching heat.

Tian-Jin Temple volunteers participated not only attended the cooling centre service, but they also prepared over 50 nutritious sandwiches, which were delivered to the various cooling centres.
