Tian-Jin Temple donates disinfectant hand sanitizers
The elderly are the generally the most vulnerable group in society, and the COVID-19 pandemic has had a severe impact on Canadian nursing homes.
On May 19, 2021, under the guidance of Temple Master Chen and Mr. Clement Yu, volunteers from Tian-Jin Temple visited the New Vista Care Home in the Edmonds area of Burnaby. They donated 24 boxes of disinfectant hand sanitizers. Darin Froese, the CEO of the care home, expressed deep gratitude to Tian-Jin Temple for their caring gesture towards the elderly during the pandemic. He also led everyone on a tour of the newly built care home adjacent to the old site.

On June 15, Tian-Jin Temple donated 30 boxes of disinfectant hand sanitizers to the constituency office of MLA Anne Kang, a community partner in Burnaby. In the interest of community health and safety, everyone has been working together hand in hand. Tian-Jin Temple is honoured and grateful for the assistance provided by Anne Kang’s office in distributing the disinfectant hand sanitizers to the people in the community.
