Tenth anniversary of Tian-Jin Temple
This year, Tian-Jin Temple celebrated its 10th anniversary at TJ Fest, a free annual weekend event filled with fun games, delicious cuisine, community vendors, and lively stage performances. Burnaby government officials were in attendance, and the festival saw a continuous stream of visitors from across the Lower Mainland.
To commemorate the anniversary this year, the road in front of the temple was closed off to accommodate more space for the festival grounds. The association behind Tian-Jin Temple, the Chinese Taoism Kuan-Kung Association, also created a display board titled “27 Years of Dedication, 10 Years of Promotion”. The wall-to-wall display showcased the association’s longstanding care and service to the community. This allowed festival guests to learn more about the association as well as how the temple came to be.
