Donation of fans to Burnaby’s Caring Project
The Chinese Taoism Kuan-Kung Association in Canada, the charity organization managing Tian-Jin Temple, follows the value of Kuan-Kung, a Taoist deity revered for his spirit of benevolence. The temple and its volunteers aim to support and aid those in need.
This summer, the association participated in Burnaby’s “Caring Project” by donating over 10 electric fans—both new and gently used—to folks in need. The initiative seeks to prevent tragic incidents during extreme temperature changes. In particular, seniors and other vulnerable individuals often have a difficult time adjusting to the unexpectedly hot weather in the summer. We hope these electric fans can help provide relief in this time of high heat.
