2020 Food Bank donation

Every half year, Tian-Jin Temple organizes a three-day Taoist ceremony to pay respects to ancestors and spirits. On the last day of the ceremony, non-perishable food items are laid out on the tables as offerings.

At the end of the festival, the temple donates the majority of the food items to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. This year, the temple contributed 21,750 pounds of food items to fight hunger, which amounts to $56,986 CAD!
