Culture and AcademicTaiwan Cultural Festival
During the Taiwan Cultural Festival from September 1 to 3, Tian-Jin Temple presented an event themed "The Dharma Boat for Long Lasting Love", where an exquisite paper-made boat was on display, loaded with gold jewels, grains and various fruits, and a large banner introducing the meaning of the boat in folk culture. In Taoism, the Dharma boat symbolizes the oar that sails to the other shore to extricate the ancestors; to save the drowning souls from suffering and to achieve peace; to cross the sea of suffering and death to reach the other shore of tranquility. It fully demonstrates the Chinese people's filial piety and selfless love for all living beings, as well as the great spirit of working hard to celebrate the harvest, sharing and helping others. The event received a lot of attention, inquiries and praise.

CharityWarmth of winter
Vouver Outreach under TJ Living, with the spirit of "Help, Support and Enlighten wherever you can", hopes that the poor can have a warm winter season. At the end of the year combined with the relief sandwich activities, we held the "Warm Heart Winter" activity. With the help of people from all walks of life, we prepared 500 winter supplies such as hats, gloves, socks and blankets. The supplies were distributed along Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminter, and Surry, and donated to people in need. We would like to thank all of our friends for their love and dedication to building a better home for all of us. Thank you!
Charity2018 the Coldest Night Walk
The Vancouver Outreach Program actively participates in The Coldest Night Walk each year to care for the homeless in the Burnaby neighbourhood. Volunteers from Tian-Jin Temple, led by Master Chen and Jeffrey Yu, enthusiastically donated, and participated in the charity walk. It is our sincere hope that everyone can give a little bit of love to the communities and use our love and faith to form a warm current to warm everyone who needs help, so that this home we live in will become more and more beautiful and happy.
